Call to God

When I was born, I had nothing to wear,
You gave me suffering when I learnt to cry,
You gave me love when I was held high,
You gave me warmth when I was surrounded by,
You gave me ego when I was played down,
You gave me dishonesty when I was cheated by,
You made me wear all this, as I was growing by,
You gave me joy when I did, all I could,
You gave me contentment when I finished well,
You gave me respect when I was revered by,
You gave me fear when I was chased over,
You gave me anger when I was bowed down,

God! I had nothing to wear when I was born here,
Why did you burden me with all that I had to wear,
Now that I am old; I am jaded gold,
God, Be kind and honest,
Take me to The higher plane,

Where there is no cry and no more worry,
Where there is no want, no more desire,
Where there is no sorrow, no more grief,
Where there exists only bliss and joy,
Where there is freedom and liberation,
Where there is care and compassion,
Where there is love and care,
Where there is sweetness and splendour,
Where there is melody of sounds and rhythms of life,
Where there is salvation and sanctification of soul,
Where there is divine and eternal truth,
Where there is life force divinely intoxicated,
Where there is union of eternal soul.
